Semester Exam

1. Rule of thirds

The photo below shows rule of thirds as the trash can is off centered on the right side. The rule of third grid would split this trash can onto right side.

2. Balancing Elements

The photo below shows a balanced composition making the main subject balanced by the girl in the back.

3. Leading Lines

This photo is an example of leading lines as the lines of the concrete lead you to the courtyard exit. It draws your eyes to the middle all the way down.

4. Symmetry and Patterns (repetition)

This is an example of symmetry as the stairs and doors are the exact same on both sides. If you were to fold it, it would look the same on both sides.

5. Viewpoint

This shows viewpoint as The main subject, the girl, is being photographed from the POV of above.

6. Background

This is an example of background because the celsius is put in front of a clear background that doesn't distract from the main subject, the can.

7. Create depth

This photo creates depth as it goes from the table to the tree to the building in the back. Incorporating many layers.

8. Framing

This photo shows framing as the main subject, the girl, is surrounded by the three pit walls. 

9. Cropping

This shows cropping as the plant among the rest is more tight becoming more prominent than the other plants. the cropping of the image focuses in on the lit up tall subject plant.

10. Experimentation

This is an example of experimental because it photographs the water flowing out of the water fountain. Its a unique photo.
