Another major rule is players are never allowed to use their hands unless your the goalie or if your doing a throw-in during play. Lastly, the referee is always in charge of calling the game despite if people disagree with their ruling. An example of a jargon in my sport is a counter-attack which is an offensive play that a team does when their are open spaces on their opponents  field to move onto. Another jargon that is used often is a nutmeg which is when a player plays the soccer ball through their opponents legs and another basic jargon is a header which is when a soccer player uses their head to add contact to a soccer ball. A common cliché used in soccer is, "At the end of the day, a win is a win" another way of saying this is despite not playing to your full potential a win still counts for something. Julie Ertz is an impactful player on the women's U.S. national team that was born in Mesa, Arizona that went to Dobson High School and has played for the U.S. women's team throughout her whole career while setting records like starting all 122 games during a decade and scoring 20 goals against 15 opponents.
