Recognition at Saints is about valuing and celebrating the contributions of our staff who live out our Values and Honour Code.
We often take for granted the great work and behaviours displayed by our colleagues or teams. The Thank You Scheme is to provide affirmation by acknowledging those staff who put in extra effort to make a World of Difference and advance Saints Excellence.
The Thank You Scheme supports Strategy 2025 through its aim to create a culture and an environment in which all staff feel valued and where going that extra mile is noticed and appreciated.
Some suggestions of what could be recognised are:
A staff member going out of their way or the extra mile to deliver great service
Demonstrating behaviour and values which are aligned to the Saints Charter and Honour Code in how we work together and with our customers (internally and externally)
Enhancing the College’s reputation and putting the College work in the spotlight
Being committed to continuous professional and personal development which develops capabilities and enables individuals to deliver their best
Giving a long-term commitment to their role, service and the College
Recognising and affirming staff doesn’t always have to involve a gift. Some suggestions of informal recognition could include:
Praise, in person and/or in front of others
Writing a note, email, Simply Say e-card on the Rewarded platform or a thank you card
Acknowledgement at staff meetings or other appropriate forums
Setting up a notice board to display thank you memos, photos or progress towards goals
Celebrate milestones in projects through an acknowledgement or staff activity
Implementation of a staff idea or proposal
Developmental opportunities (given priority to attend higher level meetings, attendance at external conferences or seminars)
Selected to represent an area at a meeting or attend as an observer
Provide special project/assignment work
