Employee Value Proposition (EVP) is the value the market (and our own people) place on being employed at the College, in exchange for commitment and performance.
EVP gets right to the heart (and into people’s heads) on what really makes our school different from other schools as an employer.
It includes a mix of tangible; sometimes intangible, attributes and qualities, aimed at ensuring we are an attractive employer.
It articulates the unique characteristics and offerings that not only attract people to join us but also motivate our current people to stay.
Typically, EVPs will drive the organisations strategic objectives (and preferred culture too.)
In developing our EVP it is important that it reflects our desired future state as well as the current experience of staff. We must ensure that we deliver on what we promise and promote.
There are certain fundamental attributes that staff will look for in organisations (as an Employer of Choice) before they decide which organisation they want to build their careers with.
