Primary 6 have been reading the novel ‘Wonder’ by RJ Palaccio and are enjoying it thoroughly.  We have been discussing lots of important issues in the book and working on finding evidence in the text, including direct quotes to support our thoughts.  We have finished recount writing and are now working on explanation texts.  In numeracy, we have worked on place value, BODMAS and algebra and are now learning about 3D shapes and their properties.  We have been enjoying our Europe topic and have acquired a great knowledge already of flags, capitals, currencies and food.  We have also been learning about European artists and recreating their styles of work.  We are currently taking part in level 1 Bikeability and are learning how to keep safe when we go on to the roads.  We are making great progress learning recorder and can play some tunes using the notes B, A and G.
