Primary 2 have made a fantastic start to the year and are already working very hard. In literacy we have been looking at digraphs and practicing how to use these to help us read, write, and spell words. We have also been working on building our fluency and confidence in reading, with the support of Primary 7 Curriculum Leaders. In numeracy we have been revising numeral identification and practicing counting forwards and backwards in 1s, 10s and 100s. We have also been exploring 2D and 3D shape, and have practiced using Venn diagrams to organise which 3D shapes stack and roll. As for our Marvellous Medicine and Me topic, we have been learning all about how the organs in our bodies work, along with medicines and tools doctors use to help care for them. This term Primary 2 have also had a chance to participate in Reading with Grannies at library which they have loved.
