Strathblane Primary School is a non-denominational school situated at the edge of Stirling Council. The school was built in 1965, it has recently been given a new nursery building to support the nursery hours expansion. The school has a nursery and 7 classrooms, a multi-purpose assembly hall which is also used for school dinners and PE, and a G.P room.
Outdoor there are generous playing areas, both hard and grassed. The Parent Council and local businesses habe been supportive in helping raise funds to improve the school grounds. Parents, friends and the school's pupil leadership groups have planted trees, shrubs, bulbs and other plants to enhance the environment. The School has achieved Eco Schools Scotland Green Flag status and the Gold Sports Award. We are currently in the process of working towards Reading Schools Accreditation.
Directly across from our school building we have our local library. The library is accessed by the nursery and all classes in the school on a regular basis.
