Primary 5 has been enjoying exploring place value and meeting the decimal point in maths. We have enjoyed lots of activities to help us build our understanding of number and place value. Our first topic was looking at our school and the values we have. We learned about other schools around the world and used this information to design our own schools, considering the rules, values and ethos we would want to create. We then learned about electricity and made electrical circuits with a battery, wires and a light bulb before applying our understanding to digital circuits. In literacy we have been focusing on recount writing. We were inspired by our class book, Voices in the Park, to write recounts of the same event from different points of view.
