What is the Better Together Series?
Each fiscal year CDOT creates a performance plan. In that plan CDOT sets goals or as we like to call them, Wildly Important Goals or WIGs. These overarching goals in conjunction with values and programs drive our work and are the foundation for CDOT’s success and culture.
It is important for every Team CDOT’er to be aware and understand how their work helps CDOT succeed to provide the best possible transportation system to the citizens of Colorado.
As such, the Better Together Series is an eight month employee engagement project that was created to help all of us have a clear line of sight about how each individual’s work relates to the bigger picture. It is also meant to increase awareness and provide reinforcement of critical elements of CDOT’s culture, such as:
WIG #1, Advancing Transportation Safety
WIG #2, Clean Transportation
WIG #3, Accountability & Transparency
Equity, Diversity, Inclusion (EDI) and Equity 360
CDOT Values
Innovation and Improvement
Each month all supervisors at CDOT will facilitate a discussion or activity with their staff (please see schedule) on that month's topic. This engagement will increase every Team CDOT'ers line of sight to the fundamental elements above.
