Innovation of the Month
The Plow Blade Installer Cart innovation, which was developed by Chuck Kline and Brian Manguso from Region 2, was selected as a 2022 American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Innovation Initiative Technology!
The AASHTO Innovation Initiative (AII) is dedicated to identifying and championing the “implementation or deployment of a select few proven technologies, products or processes that are likely to yield significant economic or qualitative benefits to the users.” Learn more about AAI here!
They are one of just seven winners across the nation who were selected for this distinction! Consequently, CDOT will receive AASHTO support and potential funding towards implementing the Plow Blade Installer Cart to Departments of Transportation (DOTs) across the United States! More specific details to come.
Chuck and Brian’s innovation also won awards during CDOT’s 2022 Innovations Challenge, including the 1st place award for the Judges’ Panel and the 2nd place award for People’s Choice.
