The Board of Health helps with developing and promoting public policies to support a healthy community; approving the local public health plan completed by the agency; selecting, supervising, and advising the agency’s executive director and medical officer; issuing orders and adopting rules necessary to carry out public health duties; fee setting.
Family Leadership Council guides leaders through their lived experience work by providing trainings and other opportunities for advancement as well as completing community projects and providing voices to ECPAC work.
The MAC gives member voice in COA projects and programs. MAC members give COA new ways to think about member education, member needs, service challenges, and how COA works with community partners. The MAC ensures that COA programs and services are member-reviewed and member-driven.
These committees engage a broad range of local stakeholders—including Colorado Access members and families—in high-level strategy within the topics of physical and behavioral health. These committees provide guidance and make recommendations to Colorado Access on how to improve health, access, cost, and member and provider satisfaction.
