Agency/Organization: Colorado Coalition Against Sexual Assault (CCASA)
Issue Area:
Region: Statewide
Mission: Members of CCASA's Survivor Task Force (STF) share their perspectives and experiences of sexual violence with the goal of educating the public and ending the stigma of addressing sexual harassment, abuse, and assault. STF members advocate for survivor-centered policies by sharing their stories through public testimony and media interviews. They also provide feedback on CCASA materials, write blogs and op-eds, and participate in focus groups.
Time Commitment: Survivors are welcome to engage with the STF as long as they want depending on their capacity. There are opportunities to engage throughout the year, but the group is most active during the legislative session (January - May).
Membership Criteria:
The STF is open to all survivors of sexual violence in Colorado.
Compensation: Not at this time, but we are actively exploring compensation and reimbursement options, so that may change in the near future.
