The State of Colorado’s eProcurement Modernization Project is a statewide initiative to replace our current procurement system with a modern, integrated solution.
This new system will make purchasing more efficient, transparent, and user friendly. It will increase consistency, reduce administrative burden, and help Colorado build a more connected, future ready procurement environment.
We are moving from planning and solution selection into implementation preparation. Current work is focused on building a strong foundation for implementation while continuing to learn from the people and organizations that will use and support the new system. This includes understanding current procurement practices, engaging agencies and institutions of higher education, preparing project and technical foundations, and beginning change management and readiness activities. These efforts will help us identify needs, prepare stakeholders, and make informed decisions as the project moves toward implementation.
This modernization is about more than replacing a procurement system. It is an opportunity to create a better, more connected procurement experience for the people who request, purchase, approve, manage, and supply goods and services across Colorado. By improving how people, processes, systems, and information connect, the project will support better experiences, stronger collaboration, more informed decisions, and a foundation that can adapt as Colorado’s needs continue to evolve.
