As per Vedas, Time is cyclic and like flowing river of 3 modes-sattva, rajas and tamas, Every Yuga have predominance of particular mode or Guna. How there is particular process or Yuga dharma to get out of this cycle of Birth and Death for that age or YUGA
A big bang and a big crunch, from a navel singularity. Vishnu represents the eternity that lies beyond our universe which has no birth or death and that which is eternal! Many such universes like ours exist in Vishnu.Vedas say that thousands of Brahmas have passed away! In other words, this is not the first time universe has been created. So as per the Vedas, the current age of the universe is 155,521,972,944,456 Years which is about 155,522 billion years !!! Modern day science has been able to predict the age of our universe to be only about 15-20 billion years! Moreover, Since we are on the first day of the 51st year of Brahma, almost equal amount of time has to pass before this universe ends.
This is an improvised version of the previous video Time or Kala in Hinduism. Hinduism accepts time as relative to the worlds. Time is also part of the illusion to which we are subject. The time of gods is different from the time of ours. Their days and nights are much longer than ours. In Hinduism time is equated with death, because there is a limited life span for everyone. God's day begins with the creation of world when He expands outwardly. His night begins when He withdraws the worlds into Himself and dissolves the creation. The outward expansion and inward contraction of Brahman is similar to the modern theories about the origin of the universe. There is an orderliness in the universe which is termed as Rta. It is the law of God or dharma which keeps the planets in their orbits and ensures the regular succession of time.
Varuna Upapurana contains ten delightful stories of Lord Shiva, told here for the first time. In these stories, Shiva is the embodiment of peace, he is the Ātmā, or Self of everyone. Self-realization and experience of higher states of consciousness is the underlying theme of every story, according to Maharshi Shaunaka, the author of this Upapurana. Varuna Upapurana was recently discovered and presented for the first time at the 11th Annual Conference of the World Association for Vedic Studies held in Fairfield, Iowa, USA, 2 August 2014.
