What you need to know:
Designed for students who want to learn to sew or have basic sewing skills. Students acquire basic knowledge of:
Sewing techniques and construction details.
Fibers, mending, and clothing care.
The class focuses on developing theory understanding followed by hands-on application and practice through sewing projects. Students work independently and at their own pace, continuously building skills.
Example Projects: Lanyard, bucket hat, bookmark, PJ pants/shorts, and hoodie.
Supply Note: Students are responsible for purchasing/providing supplies for the PJ pants and hoodie projects.

Cooking, creating, and exploring with various foods.
Kitchen safety, organization, knife skills, and cake decorating.
Students will earn the Sask. Health Food Safe certificate.
Curriculum: Focuses on nutritious recipe creation using the Canada Food Guide.

This course builds upon skills developed in Clothing 10 and creates an awareness of the role of clothing, textiles, and fashion in daily life.
Key Explorations: Clothing and the fashion industry (local and global). and Fiber art.
Project Component: Students will create an ethical project to promote waste reduction.
Sewing Projects: Students have the opportunity to choose their own projects based on their sewing experience.
Note on Supplies: Students are responsible for purchasing/providing the supplies needed to complete their sewing projects.

Skills: Creating quick, healthy meals.
