Good afternoon Scurry County. Since the last report, there have been 30 additional individuals who have tested positive, 66 recoveries, and unfortunately, 4 additional deaths.

If you are interested in the vaccine, please complete the form linked below. The are links to forms in English and in Spanish. The goal is to administer vaccines to as many people as possible that want to receive them. However, Cogdell and other hospitals and clinics are constrained due to the availability of vaccine. The first shipment of 400 Moderna doses received in late December has already been given to healthcare workers and first responders. Cogdell reports they were also able to vaccinate a few high-risk individuals with chronic health problems. They are planning for the second dose for those 400 individuals next week however, they have not yet received that vaccine from Moderna. Cogdell did receive 975 doses of the Pfizer vaccine yesterday. Those doses will be prioritized to other healthcare workers, first responders, essential personnel, and high-risk individuals first. Thereafter, they will make doses available to the general population. You are encouraged to complete the questionnaire linked below to get on the list, if you have not already done so.
