We created our own art in the style of Lois Ehlert.
We shared the story ‘Leaf Man’ and the children were so proud of their creations as they used the leaves from the story to replicate the pictures. They look amazing.
We chose either a person or an animal from the story, chose the individual leaves we wanted to use.
We then stuck them down on paper in the shape we wanted.
We went on an Autumn walk in our secret garden to find natural objects that represent Autumn.
"I can smell orange".
We used our senses to touch and smell the resources. We also used our fine motor skills to pick up the smaller items with the tweezers.
We have introduced Hanukkah to the children.
They have learned lots of new vocabulary and have really enjoyed using it. We are sure they will impress you with it!
We used a matching game to promote our vocabulary. We took turns to choose a flashcard and then looked to see if we had a match.
Here are some of the words we learnt.
