Going on a Bear Hunt

The children acted out the story and enjoyed going on a hunt of their own.

They found lots of bears!

The children helped to make an amazing tuff spot in which to re-tell the story whilst using small world figures and natural some resources.

They all enjoyed weighing out ingredients and making bear biscuits, ready to be decorated the following week.

The children thought about the different parts of the story and chose this area to represent the grass.

We thought about the order of the events in the story.

We were amazed at the children's ability to recall the order and some of them enjoyed sequencing the pictures.

As part of our mathematics focus, the children practised AB, AB patterns with the Compare Bears.
