December's Theme: Winter
We may not get snow, but come visit the library's winter wonderland! As we wind down the year, we have winter crafts and a movie night to celebrate winter (and to dream of warmer weather). Come get cozy!
Date & Time: Thursday, December 7 @ 3:00pm - 4:00pm
Description: Our craft this month will be snowman door hangers. Using hot glue or wood glue, library staff and parents will assist children with gluing together several popsicle sticks into a rectangle. Once glued, children will paint their snowmen, adding eyes, a mouth, a carrot nose, and a hat. After it's painted, we will glue on ribbon, which can be used to hang your snowman anywhere in your home. We suggest naming your snowman, too!

Budget: $15 for new supplies not already on hand at the library.
Date & Time: Friday, December 15 @ 5:00pm - 7:30pm
Description: Come get cozy at the library. In celebration of our winter theme, we will be screening the 2013 film Frozen. The movie follows sisters Ana and Elsa as they navigate life, friendship, and Elsa's magical powers. Join us for a night of fun, singing, and snacks. Bring a blanket and pillow if you would like!
Staffing: 1 library staff member.
Budget: $150 for snacks and movie license.
Come guess how many cotton balls are in the jar! Winner takes home the jar contents and a book.
If you are unable to visit the library to guess in person, a picture of the jar and its contents is posted on IPL's Facebook page, and guesses can be submitted using our guessing form found here.
Good luck!
