April's Theme: Spring Has Sprung!
Spring is here! Check out some of our recommended spring reading or come play some fast paced spring themed games.
April 23-29 is also National Library Week - encourage a new friend to visit the library or go visit a new-to-you branch!
Date & Time: Tuesday, April 11 @ 2:00pm-3:30pm
Description: Minute to Win It is one of our favorite events at the library. For this spring version, children and teens will participate in egg stacking, a jellybean competition, and a peep relay - each one in just one minute! If weather allows, we'll enjoy the spring by hosting this event outside. All are welcome and we have non-food substitutions to accommodate any dietary restrictions.

Date & Time: Sunday, April 30th @ 11:00am-2:00pm
Description: El Día de los niños/El Día de los libros is a day to celebrate all things children and books! Originally started in Mexico to celebrate children, the nationally recognized day has expanded to focus on the importance of children's literacy (Reading Rockets, n.d.). We will have book displays and recommended reading lists highlighting Mexican and Latine authors all month long, so stop by and discover your new favorite book.
On Día, the library is hosting a Día & Springtime festival. We will have snacks, crafts, and a special musical guest, local drummer Amber Hines. Come eat, sing, dance, and enter the raffle for some free books.

Come guess how many jellybeans are in the jar! Winner takes home the jar contents and a book.
