RESULTS ELECTORAL ETC OF REFERENDUM VOTE
My Initial feelings
Initially after all the "End of the World" hysteria hyperbole and racist xenophobia from BOTH 'Official' Remain & Leave Campaigns, I intended not to bother with voting at all, it was only quite literally at the 11th Hour, that I did Vote Leave. The problem for me is the entire 'Brexit Debate' has been
hijacked and manipulated by the Right Wing, politicians and media. That is the only 'Side' being in any way seen on both For & Against. There has never been any serious attempt to elaborate arguments or to provide any real information, anything but exploring what is actually involved in the issues. 'Leave' has become synonymous with Racism; Bigotry; Xenophobia, Immigration is being used as a political football {on BOTH 'Sides'} Where once only Fascists & Nazis were seen to extoll these notions, UKIP are on a mission to make them accessible in mainstream politics. The ONLY 'Leave' voices ever presented are the Bigots. Farage & UKIP are assiduous in disseminating the lie of Immigration being "the cause of ALL Evils" in everyday parlance. Even to mention 'Leave' in the Brexit context is to receive an expectation of being at the very least a fellow traveller. Before any exposition of politics, its essential to precie it with the statement, that it has nothing whatsoever to do with immigration. However what then inevitably occurs is the assertion that "of course it is everyone knows that at least" and everyone can't resist expressing their own views, with no intention of allowing anyone else to get a look in.
WELSH ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS
I voted Plaid Cymru finally in ALL Parts, Assembly Member; Regional; Police. Only in the 2nd part of the Police Commission did I vote Labour for the 2nd Preference rather than waste that part of my vote.
Friday 6th May
WELSH ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS
My 1st viewing coverage of it for the 1st time makes for interesting viewing, especially at any consideration of UKIP being taken seriously or of them getting anywhere. Consideration of anyone thinking of Tories as any kind of an alternative is mind boggling, as Tories should have been seen for what they are from experience of them in Westminster, over a Coalition Government and now a minority Government. I Have to ask how much more of these characters do people have to put up with before they wake up to reality?
Monday 25th April
WELSH ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS
Hotting up just seen Labour Party AMCandidate, I missed him when he came last and next door neighbour got his window poster, surprised he didn't ask if I wanted one. Got my KONP Vote NHS Poster {from 2015 General Election} in my door now should have put it up before the others got here. He was keen to press the flesh obviously wants to ensure he picks up as many votes as
possible, made great play of saying a Vote for Plaid Cymru may mean the Tories sneaking in. And that a family of Plaid supporters had agreed to support him to keep the Tory out. Finally filled in my Postal Vote forms apart from Police Commissioner, with a query of the 1st & 2nd Preferences, will post in a day or so.
Thursday 21st April
WELSH ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS
Looming and Candidates are actually pressing the flesh in this street, while non bothered in the 2015 Westminster General Elections. As yet no Tories were here, I just missed them shame as I'd liked to have had a go. Labour has been and ditto, next door neighbour has a window poster. Only other one to appear that I've seen is Plaid Cymru and had a chat with their candidate, got their leaflet asking do I want to get involved or have a poster.
I hadn't bothered to plan anything in the last few months of my time in Hatfield either while there or of when I moved, of any idea of a timescale to get back into politics. I have frankly drifted and have not even bothered to think about anything as yet, not even really using online activity. In 2015 I only got involved in anything minimally despite it being a crucial General Election year. 2016 At the moment is really a carbon copy despite it being the Welsh Assembly Elections year. I currently have no inclination to be bothered to get into any direct involvement.
Tuesday 8th March
Republicanism, I didn't bother to campaign within the Green Party because in all honesty of personal apathy, I could and should have worked with G.P. Republicans, and for what could have been more fruitful results, as my ideas proved wasteful to say the least. I should have spent at least some time properly researching the available opportunities for Republican activity in Wales before I actually moved. That is now academic, and I have to be pragmatic about the scant opportunities.
1> Republic:
English based for a British Republic; No substantive base in Wales, only a Main Contact in South Wales, and the Request for volunteers.
2> Plaid Cymru:
Only local Party to show any interest in the contact over Republics 'Manifesto' shows long term possibilities. BUT Plaid Cymru is a Pro EU Party

Sunday 6th March
End July 2014 I moved here, and I always intended to spend some time in as much as anything a sabbatical from any political involvement. People who thought they knew me were surprised when I got involved in the Green Party, but after eschewing 'Revolutionary Left politics' I decided to dip my political toe in mainstream political waters and decided the Green Party was nearer to my general politics, though broader based than an ideal {for me} Republican or Socialist party. My intent from the start was for this to be while I was still resident in England. I didn't bother to try and explain the details of my rationale to anyone to avoid my having to engage in what I consider as political semantics. After all why the heck should I have to explain myself to anyone? This for me is 1 of the effects of engaging in Party Politics, with each Group/Party being effectively hermitically sealed in isolation from each other, each frantically paddling its own canoe. The 'Powers that Be' that run and control this corrupt political monolith that is capitalism will be able to
continue rubbing their collective mitts with glee at the Lefts seemingly perpetual diss-unity. My intent has long been to wait till I moved to Wales to commence my Republican Socialist odyssey.
2015
Sunday 13th December
In 1 weeks time I'll visit my son Jamie in his new Hatfield flat for Xmas 2015 and New Year 2016, and yet another year will have ended, marking approximately 17 months since I moved here. I'll now make changes to this site, updating some pages long overdue for change, this is I've already said is an ongoing continuous process.
Friday 13th November
NO as an atheist I am not superstitious. This year nearly done before I've got around to continuing to updating this site this year, just got a brand new Mac and I'm only now really able to work on it. Finally got around to learning Welsh started the 1st Year course on 17th September 2015, easing myself in
gradually, starting off where I am an absolute beginner. I'll take it easy after all Welsh is not my first language only the second, so I don't expect to master it completely, unlike my Welsh relatives as its their first language, with English the second foreign language. I'll wait until the end of this years course, when I feel that I have a better grasp of the language before I attempt to correct any welsh miss-spellings, so for any Welsh speakers reading this I hope you will bear with me and try and forgive any unintentional mistakes on my part.
28th April 2015
Now had ALL local Mainstream parties, last being Plaid Cymru.
Forwarded the Republic Campaign Pledge to ALL local parliamentary parties for their responses, only Plaid Cymru replied so far. Candidate very proactive keen to meet and talk as 'Republican' looks promising?
12th April 2015
Assessing my approach to WELSH Politics, may decide to take the pragmatic approach. In Wales I have to decide what I do about it and how I can use my time and abilities to the best effect.
19th March 2015
Getting nearer to my re-engaging with the body politic, indeed with mainstream Welsh politics. Just renewed my contact with Republic, prior to rechecking my Republic membership and contacting Republic Wales. Getting Welsh political bumf mainly Tory + Labour with their latest offering, so bad it just can't go unmentioned.
2014
2014: 25th July
FINALLY its happened I finally moved from Hatfield Hertfordshire, to North Wales, after years of contemplation its really occurred.
2014: 30th August
1 month here and settling in, this will be a sabbatical from political live as I have known it thus far. I will decide when I get back into political life, one thing is certain I will now be able to engage in politics from my own perspective.
My initial consideration, in England, was to simply vote for Welsh independence at every stage, Parliamentary; Assembly; Council.
Now I'm not entirely certain about that, I am currently undecided whether to vote strategically for an indefinite period, 1 way for Westminster Elections, and a 2nd for Welsh Elections, Assembly and Council.
So pragmatic voting now in 2015/2016 could be done in stages thus.
1> PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS
Eg: WESTMINSTER {ENGLAND} ELECTIONS
England {and Westminster} MUST be FREE of the Tories
Question For Me: What is the best way to achieve this?
VOTE: Labour OR Plaid Cymru.
Question 2: Who has the best chance of being elected?
Voted tactically for Labour Party Candidate to hopefully get shot of Tory MP Gutto Bebb, but didn't work think again for next General Elections.
2> ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS
Eg: WALES REGIONAL ELECTIONS VOTE: Build for Independence, Plaid Cymru
3> COUNCIL ELECTIONS
Eg: WALES LOCAL ELECTIONS
VOTE: To establish Local Independence, Plaid Cymru
NB! Only 2 Candidates in my local Penmaenan Ward, Labour Party & Tory. NO Plaid Cymru Candidate.
Labour Party Candidate is the Ward Councillor, and lives down the road, in Victoria Crescent.
Can't Vote Plaid Cymru now, as no Candidate to Vote for. So for now Tactical Voting is my only option, and the Labour Party my only possible choice.
