An Infrared View of the Milky Way Galaxy
This composite colour infrared image of the centre of our Milky Way galaxy reveals a new population of massive stars and new details in complex structures in the hot ionized gas swirling around the central 300 light-years. This sweeping panorama is the sharpest infrared picture ever made of the Galactic core and offers a laboratory for how massive stars form and influence their environment in the often violent nuclear regions of other galaxies.
Solar System
However while scientists talk of Solar Systems; Galaxies; Universes in their plural to indicate their multiplicity. When it comes to any specifics the Solar System; Galaxy; Universe remains resolutely singular, relating invariably to that closer to hand in which our planet Earth is contained.
This diagram indicates the overall dimensions of 'Our' Solar System, as well as the relationship of each planet to each other. The Solar System exists as simply one such Solar System within a Galaxy the Milky Way Galaxy.
So vast is the entirety of Space that any mention of it can only be assumed to be on a large scale.
Tempus Fugit as the Latin’s would have it.
Or in English Time Flies.
Indeed but, does it even exist at all?
The notion that we human sapiens are alone in the entirety of space, is quite frankly an erroneous concept. So why is it still steadfastly held to, by pretty eminent bods?
