Women Redefining of Milford will meet on Monday, September 14, at Golden Hills of Milford, at 7:00 pm.
In September David Chandler, founder and director of the Eagles Quest Tai Chi Center, will present a program on Tai Chi, an ancient Chinese martial art form that rejuvenates the body, soothes the mind, and strengthens the spirit, It is a mental and physical health practice of peaceful solutions for everyday stressful situations. He is a Master Teacher of Tai Chi Chuan and was formally inducted into the Sun Style by Grandmaster Sun Yongtian in Beijing in 2008.
In addition to being an incomparable Tai Chi expert he also is a certified hypnotist, acudetox specialist, professional actor, fight choreographer and creator of many publications including instructional DVD's

The Action Committee project for September will be gently worn shoes that will be taken to Hawley Lane Shoes. They are a collection site for Re-Run Shoes, a non-profit organization based in Holyoke, Mass. Re-Run employs disabled adults to inspect, sort, and pack shoes that will be sent to Africa. They look for men's, women's, and children's shoes having no more than a 1 1/2 inch heel. No crocs, flip-flops, winter boots, or rain boots. Please only donate shoes that are immediately wearable: no holes, no rips, no shoes needing new heels. They ask that they be tied together if they have laces, or use an elastic band to keep the pairs joined.
Also, please feel free to also bring food for the food pantry along with the usual request for coupons and magnifying glasses.
