WRR Meeting at Golden Hill Healthcare Center across from Milford Hospital. 7 pm
“We have a special program to be presented by Alice Garlock. Called Alice's Reloved Workshop, Alice uses items most people would throw away and recycles them into items that people and animals can use. She uses her crafting skills to make a difference in the community by keeping items out of landfills and transforming them into toys for animals in shelters, blankets for the homeless, rugs for refugees and much more. She makes bee watering stations and organizes clean-ups in the Milford area. Come meet and hear this remarkable young woman at our next meeting.
We will be joining her by making an animal toy ourselves! (See list below.)
From Debby K - our action/service project for this month:
“Food glorious food! (Oliver) Our collection activity this month will be for the Milford Food Bank located in the Milford Senior Center. As warmer weather approaches, donations decrease but need remains the same. Lets help shore up the local food pantry with a donation of boxed, bagged, or canned food. The items needed most right now are pasta, soup, juice, and cereal.”
Here are items that you might have lying around. If so, please gather them up and bring to the meeting so Alice will have more supplies to "lovingly repurpose."
