The Yearly Calendar
The calendar is based on the movements of the celestials bodies. There are 400 days in the typical Year. This is the time it takes the planet to revolve around the Twin Suns A'a and Minol. One month is 40 days and it is the time that the Moon Kar takes to revolve around the planet. A week is 10 days long, based on the time it takes the Moon Minol to complete its cycle. There are 30 hours in a day and 50 minutes in an hour.
There are 10 months in a year, most of which are named after Arasconian heroes. Because of its influence on the world, the Arasconian Calendar has become the standard around the world. Once every 12 years, time accumulates and an extra day is added to the calendar. The Extra day falls in no month, no week, no day and no season. This is called the Divine Day and is treated as holy. It falls between the months of Planting and Torilden.
The Seasons
There are four seasons of the year. While most of Amb is temperate, the temperature and weather is generally dependant on the seasons. Winds from the various oceans effect the weather and temperature.
The First of Wilheden is the first day of the new year. This is the first day of the year because it symbolizes the day Wilhelm banished the Second Dark and the Void, thus, it is the rebirth of the world.
