The interpretive path around the campground takes you by the ramp to access the Yampa River.

We have been here several times in the Bridger–Teton National Forest located in western Wyoming and it is still one of our favorite camp spots. The forest consists of 3.4 million acres, making it the third largest National Forest outside Alaska.

August 2nd was a travel day from Tetons to Wyoming's Big Horn National Forest. Shoshoni, WY was was just some of the canyon driving and sight seeing we did that day. Around this area you can stay along the reservoir at Boysen State Park and view Boysen Peak.
After a travel day we usually follow up with R & R day upon arriving at the new location. Owen Creek Campground near Granite Pass, elevation 9033ft on US-14.

Shell Falls in the Bighorn National Forest on Shell Creek, about halfway down Shell Canyon, and a few miles upstream from the town of Shell in northeast Wyoming. The falls are 120 feet in height and tumble over basement rock of granite
This remote canyon in Northern Wyoming offers amazing views of Shell Creek and the surrounding mountains and cliffs. Roadside markers help showcase the unique geological formations in this area, It's a great day for a motorcycle ride!

Lars found this spot and a couple others at Tie Flume campground that back up to the South Tongue River. They will be on the list for the next time we are this way.
Haven't seen as much wildlife on this trip as we have on others trips but we did get see this moose on the way back to camp.

Hill City, SD located 26 miles southwest of Rapid City on U.S. Highway 16 and on U.S. Route 385 that connects Deadwood to Hot Springs.
If you look closely you can see a path where a tornado touched down in the Spearfish Canyon area just a few weeks before the the rally. See the news link here.
Pactola Lake within the Black Hills National Forest is along US Hwy 385 and includes a marina, swimming, and campground area.
Due to Covid-19 we made a cameo appearance in downtown Sturgis. Road through town and onto Spearfish Canyon.

August 10th - Creekside Mountain Resort our campground for the rally. Located just outside of Hill City, SD on Hwy 385. Notice the continuous motorcycles going by on the highway.
At 6100 feet in elevation, Sylvan Lake is a lake located in Custer State Park, in the Black Hills of South Dakota, It was created in 1881 when the Sunday Gulch Creek was built.

he Needles Highway is more than a 14-mile road—it’s a spectacular drive through pine and spruce forests, meadows surrounded by rugged granite mountains.

Deerfield Reservoir is located 20 miles west of Hill City, SD. The Castle Creek flows into and out of the reservoir.

The CC Gideon tunnel on Scenic route 16A frames Mount Rushmore as you come through.
A nice little ride between Hill City and Keystone on Old Hill City Road has 14 railroad crossings and scenic views.
