The location is ideal, the course is truly runnable and manageable for first timers. It was a great experience and I had fun the entire time.
It certainly takes not just the sport of ultrarunning back to its roots but running in general as well.
I'm already looking forward to next year.
Wish I could have completed the full 100, but loved every step of my 50 miles. Hope to see you next year . . . with an iron stomach next time!
A BIG BIG Thank you for a wonderful race, Marion & I really enjoyed ourselves. Your volunteers were great too and I must single out the Midpoint aid station volunteers for exceptional help and encouragement. The runners were so friendly and the out and back course allowed us to see and encourage each other.
I am somewhat sad I don't own a railway spike and had to drop at 75 miles. Maybe I'm getting too old for these 100's.
I really enjoyed being out there with my fellow runners and I think you could nickname the VTU "The Friendly 100."
