Todd Winfield Seabold (1944-1985)

Todd was born in the city of Baltimore, Maryland at Union Memorial Hospital on November 15, 1944. He graduated from Franklin High School in Reisterstown, Maaryland in 1962. While at UVA (College of Arts & Sciences), he was in the Arnold Air Society, Circle K Club, Jefferson Literary Society and the Young Republican Club.

Todd was inducted into the Beta Upsilon Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity on September 18, 1963 (BU #0060).

He received his MA with Distinction in 1968 from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies of Johns Hopkins University, where a memorial scholarship was established in 1986. He worked part time at Voice of America while attending graduate school in the District of Columbia.

In July 1968, Todd moved to New York City to begin his career in international banking. His first position was with Chemical Bank in the International Division and he spent several years in the Paris office. He then worked at the Banco Portugues do Atlántico in Lisbon, Portugal. Todd's last position was Vice President of Bankers Trust Company in NYC, specializing in Latin America, particularly Brazil. During his career he traveled extensively in France, Italy, Portugal, Spain and Brazil. He was fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, Italian and French.

Todd died July 5, 1985 at his parent's home in Glyndon, Maryland, following a nine month illness. He is survived by his partner William Kinker, a brother Ron and a sister Jan.
