Charles Houston “Binky” Beaumont, Jr. (1951-1973)

Charles Houston “Binky” Beaumont, Jr. was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on September 1, 1951. He died at the age of 21 on April 20, 1973. He graduated from St. Andrew’s Sewanee School in Tennessee. He graduated posthumously from the University of Virginia in 1973. At the University he was a member of the Beta Upsilon Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity (BU #178).

Don Smith (Class of 1975) wrote: “Binky was my Big Brother.... He was a good guy who partied a bit too hard.... Had an infectious, impish laugh..... Lived an extra year in the House..... I believe he was the cousin of Hugh Beaumont of "Leave It to Beaver" fame..... Regrettably, he died in a head-on crash coming home from Sweet Briar I believe.....”
