Find Us

The Upwey Potters are often found lurking in the Upwey Old School Village Hall,

which is located next to the Famous Upwey Wishing Well, in the quaint village of Upwey.

Note that all visitors should check that there is an event listed before visiting on a specific date,

or make a special appointment.

The postcode for the village hall is DT3 5QE, that is centred on maps just down Church Street,

from there head west!

The best road route in from the North is to come via Martinstown, turning off the Dorchester bypass

on the western roundabout and then turning left when entering Martinstown and following the

road to Upwey.

From the West, the scenic route from Bridport is through Abbotsbury and Portesham,

turning left at the Kings Arms, and then right up the lane through Friar Waddon.

From the South follow the old main road from Weymouth signposted Broadwey, which leads on to Upwey and turn left down to the river valley

then right up to the Hall.

Parking is allowed on the roads (but not the loading bay) or in the Church Car Park (unless there is a service)

Walking and Cycling are a recommended methods of transport through the delightful village.

The Buses are somewhat sparse on the ground.

The Upwey train station is a reasonable walk away, but very pleasant!

Studio Visits

The potters all have their own studios locally, which are not normally open to the public,

but they will reveal their locations if you wish to make an appointment.
