GE105 [Engineering Drawing]  -  1st Semester 2023-24

Course content: General introduction to Engineering Drawing, orthographic projections: theories of projection. Multi-view (orthographic) projection; VP; HP; Front view; Top view; Projection on profile planes, Projection of objects placed in all four quadrants. Lettering, dimensioning and engineering curves: e.g. parabola, ellipse, hyperbola, cycloids and involutes. Projection of straight lines: lines inclined to any one of the plane, lines inclined to both HP and VP, traces. Projection of solids: Projections of solids in simple positions, solids inclined in to one and both the planes. Sections of solids: Section of standard solids and true shape. Isometric projections: Isometric projections of simple solids, simple and complex positions, construction of isometric projection of different solids. Development of surfaces: Development of standard and sectioned solids.
