Akshit Singh Thakur
Akshit is pursuing M. Tech degree (2023 Batch) with a specialization in Computational Mechanics in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, Punjab under the joint supervision of Dr. Dhiraj K. Mahajan and Dr. Himanshu Tyagi. he has completed his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai (2016-2020). Prior to embarking on his MTech journey, he has gained valuable industry experience as a System Engineer at Infosys Ltd where his main role was application development and management. His research interests primarily lie in the field of hydrogen storage, hydrogen transportation and renewable energy.
Aniket Singh
Aniket Singh is pursuing M .Tech degree (2022-) with a specialization in Thermal & Fluids Engineering in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, Punjab under the joint supervision of Dr. Dhiraj K. Mahajan and Dr. Himanshu Tyagi. Before joining IIT Ropar in 2022, he obtained B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from Galgotias College of Engineering & Technology, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh (2018 -2022). He is serving as PG Coordinator in Career Development and Placement Cell (CDPC) and is also member of Automotive Club at IIT Ropar. His research interest lies in the field of hydrogen storage, thermal engineering, heat transfer, water desalination technology, and renewable energy. His M.tech Project is in the field of “Development of a Liquid Hydrogen Storage System for Automotive Applications”.
Badri Prasad Gatadi
Badri is a Dual Degree Mechanical Engineering student of 2019 batch. He has done his Development Engineering Project on 4D printing technology. For his masters project he'll be working on the topic of solar-blind photodetectors under the supervision of Dr. Mukesh Kumar (Dept of Physics) and Dr. Himanshu Tyagi. He's currently interested in studying state of the art battery technology, solar energy and processors. He has varied interests in cognitive Science, philosophy of mind, philosophy of artificial intelligence, and brain computer interface.
Davinder Singh
Davinder Singh is currently pursuing M. Tech degree (Batch 2023) with specialization in Thermal & Fluids Engineering in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, Punjab under the supervision of Dr. Himanshu Tyagi. He has completed his B. Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rayat Group of Institution, Ropar Punjab (now Lamrin Tech Skill University) during 2018-22. His research interests lies in the domain of desalination of saline water, computational fluid dynamics, finite element analysis and fluid mechanics.
Gourav Vashistha
Gourav is pursuing M-Tech in Mechanical Engineering (with specialization in Mechanics and Design) at IIT Ropar since July 2023. He completed his bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Institute of Engineering & Technology, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. He has industrial experience in Mechanical Engineering Services (Rotary Machines & Mech. Equipment Reliability). He is currently working under the supervision of Dr. Dhiraj K. Mahajan and Dr. Himanshu Tyagi, on the topic of hydrogen compression for hydrogen storage and transportation.
Jeetesh Dwivedi
Jeetesh Dwivedi is pursuing M.Tech Degree in Thermal and Fluids Engineering specialization in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Ropar under the supervision of Dr. Himanshu Tyagi. He obtained his B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from A.K.T.U (Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University). His area for interested is renewable energy sources, desalination of saline water, solar collections, heat and mass transfer, and computational fluid dynamics.
Manas Bhatnagar
Manas Bhatnagar is currently pursuing an M.Tech degree (Batch: 2023) in the specialization of Computational Mechanics in the Department of Mechanical Engineering under the supervision of Dr. Dhiraj K. Mahajan and Dr. Himanshu Tyagi. He completed his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (2016 - 2020) from SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Tamil Nadu. He is currently serving as assistant placement coordinator at the Career Development and Placement Cell and has varied interests in the Indian Defence Sector and its strategic advancements.
Sharwan Godara
Sharwan is pursuing MTech in Mechanical Engineering (with specialization in Design and Mechanics) at IIT Ropar since July 2022. He completed his bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar, Punjab (2014-18). He is currently working under the supervision of Dr. Dhiraj K. Mahajan and Dr. Himanshu Tyagi, on the topic of hydrogen embrittlement modeling of hydrogen transport pipelines.
Shubham Kumar
Shubham is currently pursuing M.Tech degree (2022-) with specialization in Thermal & Fluids Engineering in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, Punjab under the joint supervision of Dr. Manish Agrawal & Dr. Himanshu Tyagi. He has completed his B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kerala. His research interests lies in the domain of thermal management, solar thermal engineering, water desalination, and carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS).
Vishal Yadav
Vishal Yadav is currently pursuing M. Tech degree (Batch 2023) with specialization in Thermal & Fluids Engineering in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, Punjab under the supervision of Dr. Himanshu Tyagi. He has completed his B. Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from Baba Saheb Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Etawah (Uttar Pradesh). His research interests lie in the domain of thermal management, computational fluid dynamics, finite element analysis and Heat Transfer.
Vivek Shukla
Vivek is currently pursuing an M.Tech degree (2022-) with a specialization in Computational Mechanics in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Ropar, under the supervision of Dr. Himanshu Tyagi. He completed his Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College (2014-18). Before starting his M.Tech degree, he worked as an Application Engineer at Geo Informatics Consultants Pvt. Ltd. and as an AutoCAD Engineer at JK Laser Dies. During his postgraduate studies, he played on the college football team and participated in the Inter IIT tournament held at IIT Roorkee (Dec2022) and the Ranneti tournament held at IIT Mandi. Currently, he is serving as the PG Coordinator in the Career Development and Placement Cell (CDPC) at IIT Ropar. His research interests primarily lie in the field of thermal management of electronics, applications of AI in heat transfer, and renewable energy.
