The 2008 Jaguars accomplished something that has never been done in the history of AAA football within the state and the WPIAL, three straight WPIAL championships and two straight PIAA state championships. The team reloaded and again was everyone's pick to accomplish, exactly what they set out to do. Ranked #1 in the state and WPIAL by the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, the team saw returning quarterback Tyler Wehner, running back Brian Baldridge, Offensive linemen Pat Eger and Matt McCall, and linebacker/tightend Brock Decicco the youngest of the Decicco brothers) return.
The team won every game except their season opener to nationally ranked Glenville out of Ohio. To say this is one the best teams in school history is a safe bet. The season from that point saw no team get within 14 points of the Jaguars, as they dominated both sides of the football, and setting a few major school records along the way.
The team was explosive on offense averaging 38.5 points per game with the running of Brian Baldridge and the passing of Tyler Wehner behind a terrific offensive line that was anchored by Pat Eger, Matt McCall, and Sean Kundrat. Brian Baldridge rushed for more yards in the season and his career than any player in TJ history. While Tyler Wehner threw for more yards in a season than anyone in TJ history. The receivers were as equally as talented with Dan Virgin, Brock Decicco, and Jim Giansante.
