Jaguars Win Conference Under New Coach Phil Reynolds
Coming off winning the WPIAL title and losing a coaching legend in Bap Manzini, the jury was out on which direction the Jaguars would continue on. The 1981 Jaguars and new head coach Phil Reynolds became the judge and jury, and left no doubt the TJ tradition will
continue.
Finishing with a record of 8-3, and for the first time since 1971 won the Big Nine Conference Championship. The starting lineup consisted mostly of seniors ,with the exception of some highly talented juniors, the whole team pulled together into a family. Which helped to develop an important sense of unity on and off the field.
