To all Tilden Park Seniors Golf Club Members:

Attached are results from our seventh Away Tournament of 2022. We had 56 golfers on a slightly damp day on this municipal course in Oakland. Lots of jets flying low overhead provided a no-cost air show besides.

Overall Winners:

• Women (8 players): Jane Henderson ($15); Marsha Jaeger ($10)

• Men 200F (27 players): Steve Sandoval ($30), Bill Skelton ($25), John Karanfilian ($20), Ed Martin ($10)

• Men 200+ (21 players): Steve Shmanske ($30), Ed Francis ($20), John Brewster ($15), Steve Cohen ($10)

Closest to the Pin:

• Hole #5: ($10 each) Mike Armstrong (8' 4"), Gil Lee (7 1/2") Our women all missed this green.

• Hole #7: ($10 each) Cory Comer (3' 11"), Bill Skelton (6' 1"), Carol Martin (43' 10")

• Hole #15 (2-shot): ($25 Golf Mart gift card each) Steve Shmanske (holed it), Rick Clark (1 3/4"), Jane Henderson (23")

*** Note: Payout purses are calculated proportional to the percentage of the field in each Flight ***

Honorable Mention: Karen Graul, our guest, managed to tie Marsha Jaeger for 2nd place in the Women's Flight and was the closest to the Pin (1 1/2") on #15. AND, against the entire field of 56 players, her Stableford score earned her a tie for 4th place overall! Certainly an incentive for her to maybe join the club ($35) and play for prizes in our final 2 away outings at Blue Rock and Oakhurst.

Away Competition Leaders: With 7 rounds complete and 2 to go, we still feel the best way to portray the standings is to rank the top five players in each flight based on their BEST FOUR Stableford scores. The competition is Best 6, so this representation illustrates what is possible for those near the top.
