Forget (Will)
Action: 3 · Performed On: Other · Cost: 4
The esper has the ability to make another person forget events in the past but not knowledge itself. For example, memories of the process of learning to drive a flyer are suppressed but not the skills themselves. A Forget test is performed with any successes used to “pay” for the resultant effect.
Factor Degrees of Success
Short term memory 7
Long term memory 10
A limited number of basic facts 1
The basic facts of a particular subject 5
Comprehensive knowledge of a subject 10
The esper using Forget must be within 3 meters of his target and have continuous line of sight during the attempt. The cost to use the talent must be paid even if the attempt is interrupted. Note that the memories affected are merely suppressed and not lost. A successful Will test, using Will x 2 as the TN, will permit the target to recall the memories, but some external trigger will be required in order to realize that something is wrong.
