Background
The Droyne are a caste oriented species found across known space. In general it’s something of a mystery as to how this became so as they are a largely pastoral people with seemingly very little cultural or other drive upwards. Nonetheless, they build starships and advanced technologies and have numerous colonies interspersed among the holdings of others. Interestingly, the location of the Droyne homeworld is unknown, even to the species.
The foundation of Droyne society, which is remarkably homogeneous, is its six biological castes; workers, drones, technicians, warriors, sports and leaders. Each caste contributes to the overall health of the community by specializing in a generally narrow skill set. As a result, Droyne are almost as a rule found working in groups to accomplish the basic tasks in life. In fact, they are extremely uncomfortable being alone. The Sport is the exception in Droyne society. Able to work both within the structured life of the group and outside of it on their own when the need arises, Sports are effectively jacks of all trades, providing vital flexibility to the caste system and the species as a whole.
Due to the rigid caste structure dictated by their biology and psychology, the only type of Droyne truly suitable as a player character is the Sport. It’s for this reason that the Sport Droyne character template alone is available as a playable character.
Sports get Twenty Ability points with a bonus of +1 to two or +2 to one Ability of the player’s choice.

Applicable homeworld packages include the Marches and Wildspace with an extreme minority qualifying for Spacer. While some Droyne worlds may be physically located in the Civilized Worlds, or even the Core, these packages reflect the slightly isolated nature of their worlds of origin.
Even though Droyne Sports serve as a deliberate exception to the caste system, they are still somewhat constrained in terms of the careers they can enter into. Available career packages include Belter, Bounty Hunter, Colonist, Diplomat, Esper, Scout, Spy, Starship Crewmember and Survivalist. (Others are available at the discretion of the Game Master).
Note: The Droyne originated with the classic version of the Traveller RPG.
This power represents the ability to always know in which direction and how far away the individual’s home lies. The sense data provided is fairly coarse but is sufficient to guide the individual home under reasonable conditions. A person located some distance through space from their home will still have a general idea of what direction it is in and will know that it is “far” but that’s about it. “Home” as defined for purposes of this power is a singular location with significant emotional “weight”. While it can change over time, any such change occurs slowly, usually over the course of months or years. Note that “home” need not be an actual physical location but can be the individual’s family or other social unit.

The Droyne have the ability to cause living beings to not notice them via a latent psionic power. They do not need to activate it as such; it simply comes into play when they don’t wish to be seen. (Individuals possessing psionic abilities may get to perform a Test to notice Droyne at the GM’s discretion). Invisibility has no effect on technological devices and sensors.
Action: 2 · Performed On: Self · Cost: 3 + Distance Cost
The Link power operates much like the Home power but applies to specific individuals at closer ranges. (The total number of people is equivalent to the Droyne’s Will stat). Creating a Link requires three Actions at a Cost of four Vitality points. Droyne may voluntarily sever an existing Link at no cost
