Choose a famous African American from the time period (post-Reconstruction to early 1900s) and read about their life in the packet provided about them.
On a poster, tell their story. Include things like where they were from, what their early life was like, if they had any formal education, why they were famous, If they had a family, how they died (how old they were), etc.
