Tuesday April 4th - B Day
Project assignment for Nutrition
You will be assigned one of 6 nutrients for you topic (Carbohydrates, Fat, Protein, Water, Vitamins, and Minerals)
You assignment is to create an informational slide show, a worksheet that goes with it that you will present to the class, and 15 test questions that touch on the most important of the information. All work should be shared with me via Google (docs and slides).
MINIMUM requirements for the slide show:
What foods/drinks provide this nutrient (please include a variety)
Pros and Cons of the nutrient
Why is it considered an essential nutrient?
What too much or too little of the nutrient will do to the body
How much of it we need (broken down by age, sex, weight, whatever is appropriate)
AFTER you have made your slide show, create a worksheet that will help your classmates collect the information you have provided
LASTLY, submit to me (via google docs) at least 15 questions I can use on the nutrition test that will help students show that they understood the information about your nutrient. These can be matching, fill in the blank, multiple choice (but not ridiculously obvious), or short answer questions.
Ideally, this project will be submitted to me by Friday (there won't be a quiz Friday). Your test over Nutrition will be on Tuesday April 25th. You will have class time all this week, but Wed and Thur are FLEX days, so they will only be 44 min. periods.
