LENGTH of WALK - 5.5 miles.
TERRAIN - pavements, tarmac paths, woodland paths, steps. The walk is mostly flat with one or two inclines.

Flight of steps going downwards covered with leaves. Care needs to be
taken here. There are hand-rails to help.

After checking names for Track and Trace, we head down Station Road towards the David Livingstone Museum. We then take the bridge across the river and go up to Bothwell using a woodland path coming out just before the school. The walk takes us past the school onto the Main Street for a short distance before joining a nature trail.
From there we head for a residential area of Bothwell and make our way across Bothwell Bridge to the Lido where we will have an EARLY lunch.
The next part of the walk goes along the cycle path alongside the Expressway. This leads to an Industrial estate before ascending once again to a path beside the road.
From here there are fairly steep steps down to a woodland path which leads us into Blantyre. We go through the park and make our way down Station Road to the Station where the walk ends.
