Start Event for Summer Season 2012

OPEN DOUBLES TOURNAMENT

Tennis Oase, Sunday 6 May

This event is organised by the ESOC Tennis Club to mark the summer season 2012.

It will run from approx 10:30 until 14.30hr on Sunday in the Tennis Oase, Bollenfaltor, Darmstadt.

The tournament is open to Club members and non-members of any skill level. It will be played with a 'RANDOM ENDURANCE' formula:

• The couples will be extracted at random

• Extracted couples will play a match to the first winning 4 games (short set with tie-break if tied at 3-3).

• Winners will get 1 point, losers 0.5 points

• A second RANDOM extraction will take place an another set of matches played

• And so on...

The above formula allows people to join when they want, to stop for B-que and drinks or simply to get some oxygen.

Prizes will be given for several categories.

The club will organise the grill and refreshments will be available from Tennis Oase.

People should bring their own food: the Club will supplement it with the classic German bratwurst.
