Healer's mesa is the Medicine person's portable alter, it is a reflection of their life and their connection to the Web of Life.
The word "mesa" translated from Spanish means "table". The medicine bundle is opened up on a flat surface during ceremony.
Medicine People use the mesa for self-healing, divination , healing of others and for communication with the spirit world . Shamans travel between worlds entering different levels of consciousness.
