Announcer Module

The Announcer was introduced with version 1.80.

Its purpose is to read from the Community File, after people have been registered at the election venue, but before ballots have been cast. It displays the names of the people who are participating in the election.

In this way, people can be called to the front of the room to deposit their ballot. The names of the next couple of people are shown. The names scroll up the screen as they deposit their ballots.

One person needs to operate the computer, pressing a key or clicking the mouse to advance the names.

If the computer is connected to an external projector or large monitor, the Announcer screen can be shown on any of the attached monitors.
