How I used technology in the summer of 2010:

While teaching science lessons to grades 1-8 (primarily grades 1-2) at Awesome Academic Adventures, I incorporated 3 different Web 2.0 tools into my instruction.

1. YouTube - I played YouTube videos about the water cycle to children. As a class, we discussed the lyrics of the song to discover the steps in the water cycle. Here are the videos we used:

2. GoogleDocs - I created a PowerPoint to supplement a presentation I gave to all of the campers at Awesome Academic Adventures during Water Week. I taught about various sea creatures, drawing on my knowledge and experience from SeaWorld.

1. Playlist.com - I created a playlist of instrumental music to use while incorporating science and music.
