Aim: Because God loves me, He enables me to be holy, so I can live with Him.
God's law--------------------Exodus 21:1-23:19
God's victory----------------Exodus 23:20-33
God's covenant-------------Exodus 24:1-18
Principle
God's will reveals His holiness to me and my obedience reveals my holiness to Him.
God's commands are given out of love. Obedience shows love and holiness to God.
Principle
God's will for my life affects every area of my life.
Much is expected from those that are given a lot.
Principle
God's will for my life always involves loving God and loving others.
Question- what area(s) of your life do you need to love God/others more?
God's will is to separate us from sin. The devil wants to keep us in sin.
"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."
-Ephesians 6:12-13 NKJV
Principle
To experience God's victory, I must trust God to do His part and be faithful to do my part.
"being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;"
-Philippians 1:6 NKJV
The Lord finishes His work. Step one to helping with God's victory: listen to Jesus. Step two: obey Jesus.
"But if you indeed obey His voice and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries."
-Exodus 23:22 NKJV
If we listen and obey the Lord, He will drive out our enemies.
Principle
Because Jesus is my mediator, God will always be my God, and I will always be one of His beloved children.
Our relationship with God is eternally secure; it's based on the blood of Jesus and our acceptance of His sacrifice.
