ALL HONOR TO HIS NAME
Naples - Lloyd David Doerflinger, Jr., 85, went to be with Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior on July 7th, 2021. Born, raised, educated and worked in St. Louis, MO until he retired at age 53 as President and CEO of Jefferson Savings and Loan Association for 32years. He was a longtime officer in the St. Louis Home Builders Assoc. He graduated from Washington University with a BSBA degree and was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He was a home builder and banker in charge of constructing 3000 houses and condos. He served in the Missouri Air National Guard and the USAF during the Berlin Crisis. He is survived by his wife Susan of 41 years, his daughter Lisa of Versailles MO., son Michael (deceased), 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, sister Mary Kay of Kansas City, Mo, as well as many nieces and a nephew.
Lloyd and Susan moved to the Vineyards, Naples in 1989 where they enjoyed tennis, Lloyd winning many tournaments while club members for 20 years. More recently he enjoyed men's doubles at Cambier Park, Naples. He was an avid backwater fisherman, member and former Board of Directors of the Naples Fishing Club, making many fishing buddies. He had served as a deacon and elder at Central Presbyterian Church, Clayton, MO, Grace Bible Church, Naples, elder at First Presbyterian Church, Naples and recently a member of First Presbyterian church, Bonita Springs. A life well lived, devoted to his Lord and family. A memorial service will take place on Sunday, August 15th, 2pm - 2021 at The Arlington of Naples, 7900 Arlington Circle, Naples 34113.
