TO: Undergraduate and alumni chapters

RE: Call to vote for new chapter installation at DePaul University

Your chapter has the opportunity to be a part of Sigma Chi history by voting on the granting of a charter to the Sigma Chi Lambda colony at DePaul University. The Fraternity's Executive Committee, upon the recommendation of the New Chapter Development and Province Boundary Committee, voted to accept the Formal Petition from Sigma Chi Lambda.

This notification will serve as the official call for vote on the Installation of Sigma Chi Lambda. In short, your chapter should:

1. Review Sigma Chi Lambda's Formal Petition and visit their website at sigmachidepaul.com;

2. Meet as a chapter to discuss the petition;

3. Vote on whether or not to grant a charter; and

4. Email Expansion Coordinator Nick Alvarez, FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL 2014, at nick.alvarez@sigmachi.org with the results of your vote. The deadline to cast your vote is Jan. 24, 2015.

Please title the subject line of your email to Alvarez as “Sigma Chi Lambda vote.” In the text of the email, please clearly state your chapter name and whether you are in favor of or against granting a charter to a Sigma Chi chapter at DePaul University.

To be granted a charter, Sigma Chi Lambda will need not less than 75 percent of voting chapters to vote in their favor. All votes must be received by Jan. 24, 2015.
