Bush P. Mulford, 86, of Naples, FL, passed away on March 29, 2015. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Bush attended Norwood High School and graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1952 with a degree in Economics. Bush also served in the United States Army from December 16, 1946 to February 15,1948 supporting U. S. operations as an information specialist – writer in Kwangju, Korea where he earned the World War II Victory Medal and Army of Occupation Medal – Japan.
Bush relocated to Naples in 1968 and founded the Naples office of Raymond James, an investment brokerage firm, where he worked for 35 years. Prior to living in Naples, Bush worked for the Reynolds Metals Company, Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Corporation, and Continental Can Company in Cincinnati, Ohio and Richmond, Virginia.
Bush was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity in college and spent his leisure time playing tennis and enjoyed seeing his children mature and start their own families.
He leaves his wife of 56 years, Jean (Miracle) Mulford, Naples, FL; son, Tim (Patty) Mulford and his daughters, Lauren Mulford and Ashley Mulford, Naples, FL; daughter, Julie (Jeff) Taylor, and her daughter, Morgan Taylor, Arlington, VA; and his sister, Virginia Burins of Lower Gwynedd, PA. He is predeceased in death by his parents, James and Loretta Mulford; his grandparents, Bush and Josephine Parker; and his Aunt, Jeannette Mulford Wahlbom. Bush often said, "I feel so gifted to have had such fine children and grandchildren, and for so many years such wonderful friends, sadly many of whom have predeceased me. You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough."
A gathering of friends and family will be held in the Memorial Mausoleum at Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati, OH on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., at 11:45 a.m. the Cincinnati Sigma Chi Alumni will administer a White Rose Ceremony also at the Memorial Mausoleum. Inurnment with military honors will follow at 12:00 noon in Spring Grove Cemetery.
