'Stop Preaching God's Love, For Heaven's Sake' Is A Treatise To question The Church In this age
The Root Problem In The Church Today
My spirit is, and has been burdened regarding the state of the Church over the last 30 years or so, and how badly we have acquired all kinds of traditions of men. These also, are beliefs that annul Scripture as Jesus christ scolded the Pharisees for. I have been feeling compelled by God to write and expose what I believe to be the central or fundamental cause that allows us to develop these unscriptural traditions.
Yet when I have talked about these things with church leaders and Christians, even though they agree we do indeed carry a candie-coated message of Christ, they simply are unable to see the profoundness of the crisis. It challenges their norms way too much. I wanted to write a data type book, with much facts and figures proving what I am trying to convey.
Throughout the many years, I have not read lots of works of various recognized Christian writers. I examine my Bible in many translations and I have developed a pretty good reference library of textbooks and other other books.
However, about four years ago in the middle of a personal calamity, I needed Christian support and opened my company Facebook profile to Christian friends. I gained about one hundred Christian friends along with acquaintances of friends. It was a good support group, however, I noticed people who believed like I did. I was impressed. There were quotes from notable Christian writers and church leaders, that I knew of, but had not read any of their works. These were so confirmational for me, so I have inserted a lot of them in this treatise.
'Stop Preaching God's Love, For Heaven's Sake'
My basic hypothesis is that, Christians have proclaimed, written, read, talked, taught and preached, way too much on the subject of how 'God loves us soooo much and has a wonderful plan for our life'.
This has forced other essential qualities of God, into the fringes - God as the Judge, the lake of fire, defeating sin, totalsubmission to God, endurance, how truly evil sin is, how central purity is, etc.... and it has resulted us to interpret the Scriptures badly in many ways. Christians have formulated erroneous teachings that guide our lives and our church. Issues such as, never judge anyone; never expose sin; unity at any cost; anyone who affirms anything that may displease someone is not being 'Christ-like'...etc.
