The Root Problem In The Church Today

My heart is, and has been burdened concerning the state of the Church during the past 3 decades or so, and how badly we have taken on all kinds of traditions of men. These too, are traditions that annul The bible as Jesus christ scolded the Pharisees for. I have been feeling burdened by God to write a book and uncover what I believe to be the central or root cause that allows us to develop these unscriptural traditions.

Though when I have talked about these issues with pastors and Christians, while they acknowledge we do indeed have a candie-coated gospel message, they just cannot perceive the degree of the crisis. It exposes their basic assumptions way too much. I had to author a fact based work, with plenty of data validating what I am trying to say.

Throughout my many years, I have not been a reader of the publications of the recognized Christian writers. I examine the Scriptures in diverse versions and I have assembled a great resource library of Bible dictionaries, Greek & Hebrew dictionaries, commentaries and many additional works.

But about four years ago in the midst of a personal tragedy, I needed Spiritual encouragement and opened my business Facebook page to family and friends. I acquired about one hundred family and friends as well as friends of friends. It was a practical support group, however, I found Christians who also believed like me. I was amazed. There were memes from notable Christian writers and preachers, that I recognized, but had not been a reader of any of their publications. These were so confirmational for me, so I have inserted a lot of them in this publication.

My prime proposition is that, Christians have read, preached, written, talked, taught and proclaimed, way too much about how 'God loves us soooo much and has a wonderful plan for our life'.

This has forced other crucial characteristics of God, into the fringes - God as the Judge, hell, conquering sin, obedience, perseverance, how very evil sin is, how central purity is, etc...... and it has caused us to read the Scriptures wrongly in a host of ways. The church have created bad doctrines that guide our life and our church. Issues like, never judge any person; never correct sin; unity at all costs; any person that says anything that can distress someone is self-righteous........etc.
